Vertical Wind Tunnel (DRT)There are two models: open and closed.

❖ Open Type DRT:
- Does not provide protection against weather conditions, thus cannot be used in rainy weather. It is challenging to conduct training in hot summers and cold winters.
- Has a short lifespan (approximately 2-3 years).
- Has low airflow speed.
- Consumes 3 times more energy compared to closed systems.
- Primarily used for recreational purposes today, as it does not support military equipment or flight.

❖ Closed Type DRT:
- Features high airflow speed.
- Provides uninterrupted training in all weather conditions.
- Suitable for both military and recreational parachuting training.
- Has a significantly longer lifespan.

❖ TT 25 Vertical Wind Tunnel:

- Manufactured by Tunnel Tech (formerly SkyVenture), the world's first and largest DRT producer.

- Can be constructed in an area comparable to an open DRT.

- Operates quietly and is suitable for military use.

- TT 25 DRT can be built in dimensions of 11x5 meters and can be constructed up to 7 meters underground, with the flight chamber at ground level.

- Surrounding structures can be mounted for use as a normal closed-type DRT, offering cost-effective operation.

- With a wind speed of 240 km/h, it is suitable for various types of training (typical closed-type DRTs have an average speed of 250 km/h).

- Achieves this airflow speed with a 450 kW motor, providing 3 times the energy savings compared to open-type DRTs and 4 times compared to larger closed-type DRTs.
